This beautiful map is lithographed in full color and opens to a generous 23" x 35".
On the reverse side there are monthly star charts for the northern and southern hemispheres, designed by Dr. Donald H. Menzel of the Harvard College Observatory.
This map was prepared by the National Geographic Society, noted for its highly detailed and attractive cartography, and it is loaded with information on the planets in our solar system and the stars and constellations in distant galaxies.
It was published in August 1970 and would be a wonderful aid to your study of the heavens. It is dated in the lower margin.
