Leofoto has designed the light and compact Leofoto Ranger tripods to provide stability under all conditions, so whoever goes into nature will take a
Leofoto Ranger tripod. The Rangers are made of 10 layers of cross-woven, reinforced carbon, so you are assured of a rock-solid yet lightweight tripod.
The maximum working height of the LS-224C is 117 centimeters without the middle column or ball head. Screw the loosely supplied center column
onto the LS-224C, then you reach a working height of up to 148.5 cm. The minimum working height is only 13 centimeters (including the ball head),
which works nicely for macro photography just above the ground. The Leofoto LS-224C measures only 47 centimeters with LH-25 ball head, while the
weight is only 910 grams. Therefore, you can easily take this trip with you anywhere you travel. The carrying capacity of this compact travel tripod is
6 kilos, which is more than sufficient for a compact dslr or system camera with a standard zoom or telephoto lens.
The ultra-low weight of the Ranger carbon stands has to do with the modular construction without center column. The base tripod has a tripod plate
of milled aircraft aluminum with a 3/8-inch tripod screw. You can immediately mount a ball head if you are very lightweight, but if you need more
working height, first screw the loose center column on the tripod. The carbon tripod legs of the LS-224C consist of four smoothly extendable sections
with a leg diameter of up to 22mm and a minimum leg thickness of 15mm. You simply unscrew and fasten them with the twistlock screw lock: a simple
rotational movement is sufficient. The tripod legs have rubber feet, and for a stable grip on any surface you can change them for the included stainless
steel spikes.
