About IGT:
IGT is a multinational gambling company that produces slot machines and other gambling technology.  They are currently headquartered in London, England with offices in Rome, Rhode Island and Las Vegas. For a long time, IGT was the primary manufacturer of the silver strike machine.
G2E:  The Global Gaming Expo
is the world's largest gaming conference.  Gaming executives, buyers and industry professionals meet, network and share new ideas and technologies.  In 2002/2003 IGT started to experiment with different machine designs and different ways to distribute silver strikes with the winning combinations.  The original machines had hoppers that were used in similar coin operated machines.  Around 2004 the new machines were placed on the casino floors using the larger capsules.
What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder. People from all over the world collect these unique gaming tokens.  There is also an official club where people buy, sell and trade Silver Strikes.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0.  The most common denomination is .
