Cactus Pete's:
Located at 1385 US Route 93, Cactus Pete's is located less than one mile from the Nevada/Idaho border.  After Idaho outlawed all forms of casino gaming in 1954, "Cactus Pete" Piersanti and his friend Don French moved their slot machine operations from Idaho to Nevada.  Their
establishments became Cactus Pete's and the Horseshu Club.  Jackpot, Nevada was formed.  Over the years, the property has expanded and grown.  Today, the casino has over 600 slot machines, and 20 table games along with almost 300 hotel rooms. The outdoor amphitheater hosts seasonal concerts.
What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder.  People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992.  The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is .  The older silver strikes have a higher silver content.  As the price of silver increased, the amount of silver decreased.  Today, most strikes are Clad, brass with heavy silver plating.  Some are colorized.
