THIS LISTING IS FOR AN UNUSUAL ANTIQUE ROYAL DUX ART NOUVEAU PORCELAIN FIGURAL DISH/TRAY WITH WOMAN HOLDING JUG BESIDE SHELL BASIN WITH ADORABLE FROG AT BASE , #1048.
BEAUTIFULLY PAINTED IN SHADES OF WHITE WITH BRUSHED GOLD ACCENTS AND A MATTE FINISH, THIS
ATTRACTIVE LADY WEARS A GREEN DRESS AND HOLDS A JUG, STANDING BY A LARGE SHELL BASIN SUPPORTED BY A GNARLED TREE STUMP BASE. SCULPTURE IS SET ON AN OVAL SHAPED NATURALISTIC BASE WITH FOLIAGE AND SMALL GREEN FROG PEEKING FROM BELOW. THE COLORS ARE RICH AND VIVID, TYPICAL OF THE EARLY ROYAL DUX PORCELAINS.
MARKED WITH INCISED NUMBER "1018" ON BASE WITH PINK TRIANGLE "BUBBLE GUM" ROYAL DUX TRADEMARK STAMP USED FROM 1900-1918.
THE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS.
